I woke up this morning and realized that although I may not have the most expensive products in the world when it comes to skin care products, the ones I am currently using are by far the best ones for my personal routine that just about anyone can afford. I have a pretty simple routine: Exfoliate, Cleanse and Moisturize. I've come to realize that most people probably don't exfoliate more than about once or twice a week, but I find myself needing to do it pretty much on a daily basis. With that being said, I have gone through a lot of trial and error on what products work best for my skin.
St. Ives Oatmeal Scrub+Mask has been, in my experience, by far the gentlest but effective product I have used. It is light and creamy and moisturizes. I have been a fan of St. Ives for many years, but I found the regular apricot scrub to irritate my skin with how often I have to use it. The oatmeal scrub's exfoliants are very fine which help to eliminate the extra dry feeling you can get after exfoliating. According to Makup Alley it has about 3.5 stars but most of the other reviews I have seen online give it about 4.5-5 stars. Personally, I give it a 5.
It costs $4.29 at Walgreens and similar prices at other drug stores and even with daily use, its lasts what seems like forever!

Facial cleansers are a hard one for me. Even at the age of 27, if I use the wrong products I can break out pretty bad and it can take what seems like weeks to recover. Neutrogena has been a staple in my life for quite some time, although I try out something new every now and then hoping to find something that may work a little bit better. For the last several months I have been using the Redness Soothing Cream Cleanser and while it does a pretty good job at keeping my face good and clean, it just hasn't held true to reducing redness whenever I need it to and it tends to leave my face feeling pretty dry. I try to use this only in the evening before bed for that very reason, but I do enjoy the fresh feeling while it is actually on my skin.
Neutrogena's Pink Grapefruit Cream Cleanser is by far my favorite of all of their facial cleansers. I never noticed any dryness, my skin felt cleaner after using it and the fragrance is heavenly! When I used this product (and I will be making the switch back after finishing the green bottle - I hate to waste product if I can bear through it) I felt like my skin glowed. I used this morning and night and could not have been happier.

I've seen these listed anywhere from $5.49 to $8.00 with a rating of 3.5-4 although I give the pink grapefruit a 5
And finally, moisturizer in the form of a BB cream:
I am pretty new to the world of BB, CC and DD creams in that this is my first experience with it basically ever, but I like this stuff well enough to tell y'all about it. It comes in 2 shades: Fair to Light and Light to Medium. It has a very lightweight feel and isn't greasy, but I am not sure why there is a tint to it at all; there is zero pigmentation once it is blended into your face. It has an SPF of 15 and works great a light weight primer for my regular makeup application.
It has a rating online of about 3.5 and ranges in price from $10.99 to $14.99
